Sequim basketball sweeps North Mason: Boys 73-48, Girls 48-18

(Sequim) -- Alex Barry scored 22 points and Vance Willis added 21 as the Sequim Wolves boys basketball team beat the North Mason Bulldogs 73-48 Tuesday night at Rick Kaps Gym.
The Wolves ran out to a 21-11 advantage with Willis canning 9 first period tallies.
Sequim was up by 15 at halftime -- 36-21 -- as Jackson Oliver had 8 of his 13 markers in the first half.
Barry had 9 at intermission and played a spectacular third period, including three triples and a steal concluding in a breakaway two-handed jam.
The Wolves went to the final period ahead 61-36.
Barry had 13 rebounds and 4 assists, also coming up with 6 steals and 3 blocked shots.
Dusty Bates chipped in 9 points for Sequim, while Payton Glasser and Alex Rutherford had 3 apiece.
Hunter Hohmann had a team-high 13 for North Mason, Daniel Burggraaf added 12 and Matt Becker had 10 points.
The Wolves have won five straight and 7 out of its last 8 games.
Sequim continues its deadlock on the third place spot in the Olympic League 2A Division standings at 7-3 and 12-6 overall.
North Mason dropped to 2-7 in league and 7-10 overall.
Sequim visits Port Angeles Friday, when North Mason hosts Bremerton.
