Sequim boys overtake Bremerton 51-42

(Bremerton) -- Sequim tightened up on defense, allowing Bremerton just 16 second half points in a come-from-behind 51-42 Olympic League 2A Division boys basketball victory Friday night.
Alex Barry led the way for the Wolves with 27 points, 22 after intermission, pulling down 18 rebounds and dishing out 1 assist.
Bremerton led 14-11 after one period and 26-21 at the half.
Donovan Cole had 10 first-half markers for the Knights, finishing with a team-high 14.
The Wolves shot just 6 for 19 from the field in the first half, but had just 8 turnovers.
Bremerton led 35-32 going to the final period, as Barry scored all 11 Sequim tallies in the third quarter.
The Wolves tied the game at 37 with five minutes left, then outscored the Knights 14-5 the rest of the way.
Barry had 11 markers in the final period, including 3 for 4 from the charity stripe.
Jackson Oliver paced Sequim with 6 points, while Payton Glasser and Alex Rutherford had 5 apiece.
Dallas Chapman canned 8 for Bremerton and Jensen Bumanglag had 5.
Bremerton (5-7 overall and 3-4 in Olympic League 2A Division play) will play at Port Townsend Tuesday.
Sequim (9-6 overall and 4-3 in Olympic League 2A Division action) will host Kingston Tuesday at Rick Kaps Gym.
