Sequim boys rip Olympic 51-39

(Silverdale) -- The Sequim High Wolves beat the Olympic Trojans 51-39 at Olympic Gymnasium.
Sequim led 14-8 after getting 9 first period points from Vance Willis, who had a team-high 15.
The Wolves pushed the advantage to 33-23 at intermission as Jackson Oliver had 11 in the first half.
Sequim increased the lead to 40-25 with 4:55 left in the third period and led 46-29 going to the final quarter.
Alex Barry paced Sequim with 12 points, 16 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals and 3 blocked shots.
Alex Rutherford had 5 points, Josh McConnaughey added 4, Dustin Bates had 3 and Payton Glasser 1.
The Wolves improve to 11-6 overall and 6-3 in Olympic League 2A Division, while Olympic dropped to 11-5 overall and into second place at 7-2 in league action.
The third-place Wolves came into Friday's game trailing the Trojans and North Kitsap by two games in the standings.
North Kitsap beat North Mason 89-75 Friday night to move into first place. Sequim will host North Mason Tuesday, when Olympic visits Bremerton.
