PREP BASKETBALL: Sequim boys 71, Orting 52

(Port Townsend) -- Corbin Webb scored 21 points and Jayson Brocklesby chipped in 11 as the Sequim Wolves beat the Orting Cardinals 71-52 at the Crush in the Slush basketball tournament in Port Townsend Wednesday.
It was a nip and tuck start with a tie and 4 lead changes in the opening minutes before Sequim took control with a 16-7 run and had a 25-12 first period advantage.
The 2A Wolves extended their lead to 49-24 at halftime over the 1A Cardinals.
Orting (1-6) got 12 points from Breland Fox and Evan Chandler added 10.
Gabe Carter had 9 points for Sequim while Nick Camporini and Dylan Eekoff contributed 7 points apiece.
The Wolves led by as many as 25 points in the second half.
Sequim (9-2) will be idle until Tuesday, January 4th, when Kingston visits Rick Kaps Gym.
