(Silverdale) -- The Sequim boys basketball team survived a fourth quarter comeback from the Klahowya Eagles and held on for a 58-54 Olympic League victory Wednesday.
The Wolves led by 18 in the opening moments of the final period before the Eagles' Derris Davis connected on a pair of treys, cutting the deficit to 45-33 with 5:37 to go.
Klahowya gradually closed the gap until Davis hit another triple making it 56-54 with 5 seconds left.
Sequim sophomore Gabe Carter hit two free throws with 2 seconds to go to ice the Wolves' sixth straight win.
Carter had a team-high 20 for Sequim and Nick Camporini added 12.
Klahowya (3-3, 2-2 in Olympic League play) outscored Sequim 27-15 in the final quarter, hitting 6 shots from beyond the arc.
The Eagles' Davis had the game-high honors with 23 and Clark Rose chipped in 21.
Jayson Brocklesby paced Sequim with 9 points and Evan Hill had 8.
Meantime, the Lady Wolves beat Klahowya 55-44 at Rick Kaps Gym, winning for the sixth consecutive game.
Sequim (7-1, 4-1 in Olympic League play) will meet the North Kitsap Vikings Friday.
The Lady Wolves will visit Poulsbo and the North Kitsap boys will invade Rick Kaps Gym.
