(Bainbridge) -- Sequim roared back from a 14-point second-half deficit and hit 18 of 20 free throws down the stretch to take a season-opening 64-59 non-league victory against the Bainbridge Spartans.
The Wolves trailed 37-23 early in the third quarter, but closed the stanza with a 19-5 run triggered by 3 triples from senior Nick Camporini, tying the contest at 42.
Six consecutive one-and-one free throws by junior Evan Hill broke a 50-all tie and gave Sequim a 56-50 advantage with 2:48 left.
The 3A Spartans cut it to 61-59 with 18 seconds left on Eric Raustein's bank shot, but Sequim closed it out at at the free throw line.
Bainbridge lost for the second consecutive night to a 2A Olympic League foe. Kingston beat Bainbridge 64-62 Tuesday.
The Wolves had 4 double-figure scorers led by Camporini's 17 and Gabe Carter's 13, while Corbin Webb and Josh McMinn added 11 apiece.
Rico Failla led Bainbridge with 20 points, hitting 3 triples that gave the Spartans a 32-23 advantage at intermission.
Chris Bell paced Bainbridge with 15 and Carson Zajonc added 7.
Sequim travels to Olympic Friday night for its Olympic League opener.
