(Sequim) -- Another sweep for the Sequim Wolves cagers as the Wolves boys and girls downed North Kitsap Friday night, both teams taking their seventh consecutive victory.
The Sequim boys beat the Vikings 57-45 at Rick Kaps Gym and the Lady Wolves squeaked by NK 50-48 in Poulsbo.
The boys got out to another quick start, ahead of North 9-0 before the Vikings finally
scored 6 minutes and 35 seconds into the contest.
Sequim (8-1, 5-1 in Olympic League play) had a 15-6 first quarter lead.
The Wolves had an 18-10 advantage in the second period, up by 17 at halftime, 33-16.
North managed to chop the deficit to 12 halfway through the third quarter, but Sequim
got break opportunities that led to layups by Jason Brocklesby that put Sequim ahead 44-26 going to the final period.
Brocklesby had game-high honors with 19 points and Gabe Carter chipped in 16.
Nick Camporini and Evan Hill paced the Wolves with 8.
North (0-7, 0-4 in Olympic League play) got some fourth quarter triples from Paolo
DeGuzman and TJ Reitan, but got no closer than 10 the rest of the way.
Reitan led the Vikings with 17 and DeGuzman added 10.
