PREP GIRLS BASKETBALL: Port Angeles 68, Sequim 21

(Sequim) -- Alison Knowles hit five first-half treys and led all scorers with 17 as the Port Angeles girls basketball team defeated Sequim 68-21 Thursday at Rick Kaps Gym.
Kiah Jones added 15 points as the Lady Riders improved to 10-2 overall and a perfect 8-0 in the Olympic League.
PA led 14-7 after the first period and 37-9 at intermission.
The Riders' Jessica Madison was limited to just three field-goals, but managed to can 7 of 16 free throws, finishing with 13 points.
PA had a 48-12 advantage after three quarters.
Haleigh Harrison had 7 points for Sequim and Rylleigh Zbaraschuk added 6.
The Lady Wolves were without the services of standout senior guard Lea Hopson, who missed the game due to a bruised back suffered in a Tuesday game against Port Townsend.
Sequim fell to 9-6 overall and 6-4 in league action.
Sequim will host North Mason Tuesday, while Port Angeles travels to Foster High School Monday for a holiday matchup with the 3A Timberline Blazers.
