PREP BOYS BASKETBALL: Sequim 55, North Mason 34

(Belfair) -- Jayson Brocklesby scored 10 of his 14 points in the third quarter as the Sequim Wolves pulled away for a 55-34 victory over the North Mason Bulldogs Tuesday night.
The Sequim win, coupled with a Port Angeles loss to Olympic, gave the Wolves a half-game advantage over the Riders for second place in the Olympic League.
Sequim led 14-10 as Gabe Carter canned 10 of his 13 markers in the opening stanza.
After a 14-all tie early in the second quarter, Sequim pushed ahead 22-14 and had a 26-18 bulge at intermission.
The Wolves were up 41-28 going to the fourth period and Corbin Webb ended any hope of a Bulldogs comeback, connecting on 9 of his 13 tallies in the second half.
Kasey Bielec paced North Mason with 9 points, while Austin Casteel and Jesse Frender added 5 apiece for the Bulldogs, who fell to 5-9 overall and 4-6 in Olympic League play.
Sequim improved to 12-4 overall and 8-3 in league.
The Wolves travel to Bremerton Friday, while North Mason hosts Kingston.
