PREP BASKETBALL: Sequim girls 49, Port Townsend 36

(Sequim) -- The Sequim Lady Wolves scored a 49-36 victory over the Port Townsend Redskins Tuesday night at Rick Kaps Gym.
Port Townsend led 13-9 after the first quarter, but went stone-cold in the second period, scoring just one basket, as Sequim pressed its way to 12 consecutive points and a 25-15 halftime advantage.
Sequim increased the lead to 34-19 after a slow moving third quarter. The Lady Wolves managed to convert 10 of 24 fourth quarter free throws and improved to 9-5 overall and 6-3 in Olympic League play.
Port Townsend's girls fell to 6-7 overall and 5-5 in league.
Lea Hopson and Rylleigh Zbaraschuk had 12 points apiece for Sequim and Taylor Balkan added 11. 

The Redskins' Kerri Evalt scored 12 and Kiley Maag had 10 markers.
