(Sequim) -- Two kicking game mishaps by Kingston helped Sequim to an early lead as the Wolves walloped the winless Buccaneers 49-6 Friday night.

The Sequim win, combined with North Mason's 42-22 victory over Steilacoom, sets up a matchup between the Wolves (5-1, 3-0) and the undefeated Bulldogs (6-0, 3-0) next Friday in Belfair.

A 3-yard punt by Kingston's Ian Chaussee gave Sequim its opening possession at the Kingston 24.

Running back Travis Decker toured the left side of the Buccaneers defense for the first of four touchdowns on a 24-yard run.

Frank Catelli's conversion run gave the hosts an 8-0 lead with 9:56 left in the opening quarter.

Forcing Kingston to punt again, Chaussee mishandled the snap and the Wolves coverage chased it out-of-bounds at the Kingston 2.

Decker scored from the 1 on the second play of the drive for a 15-0 Sequim advantage at the 7:45 mark of the first period after Frank Catelli hit the first of 4 PAT's.

Sequim visited paydirt for a third time with 57 seconds left in the first quarter when Drew Rickerson connected with Joel Anastasi on a 22-yard touchdown pass for a 22-0 Wolves bulge.

The Wolves increased their advantage to 29-0 with 7:46 left in the half on Drew Rickerson's 25 yard run.

Sequim's halftime lead was 35-0 after Decker scored from 10 yards just 57 seconds before intermission.

The Wolves opened the second half with a 3-play, 52-yard drive in 55 seconds, culminated with Decker's quick hitting 35-yard touchdown sprint for a 42-0 lead.

Two plays later, Kingston quarterback Tucker Bowman fumbled with Frank Catelli recovering for Sequim at the Bucs 13.

The mercy rule was triggered two plays later after Rickerson's 12-yard scoring pass to John Textor, putting Sequim up 49-0 with 10 minutes left in the third quarter.

Kingston avoided the shutout by driving 56 yards in 13 plays, hitting the end zone on 4th and Goal on Travis Schriner's 5-yard thrust with 1:26 left.

Travis Decker finished with 98 yards on 9 carries and 4 TD's.

Drew Rickerson completed 8 of 16 passes for 155 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Sequim - North Mason pregame coverage begins at 6:30 Friday with the kickoff at 7 live online with a click of the Sequim Wolves banner at www.konp.com.
