(Steilacoom) -- Sequim's football team spoiled the debut of a revamped Steilacoom High School stadium Friday night with a 26-10 win over the Sentinels.

The stadium project included the installation of rubber-filled turf on the football and baseball fields, the replacement of the track, plus a new press box and bench seating.

The Wolves trailed 10-6 late in the third quarter and drove 55 yards in 7 plays, getting the go-ahead score on a 27-yard pass from Drew Rickerson to Clancy Catelli, putting the visitors up 12-10.

Rickerson completed 13 of 21 passes for 144 yards and a touchdown with one interception.

Catelli, who suffered an ankle sprain last Saturday night against Cascade Christian, also had a pass interception on defense.

Sequim hit paydirt again to extend its lead to 18-10 with 10:25 left on Rickerson's 2-yard run.

The Wolves finished the scoring on a Travis Decker 1-yard run with just a minute left, Clancy Catelli threw the 2-point pass to John Textor for a 26-10 advantage.

Decker carried 18 times for 99 yards and 2 TD's.

Sequim had the opening drive of the game and took the lead on Decker's 1-yard run.

The PAT was blocked, leaving the score at 6-0 with 9:14 left in the opening quarter.

Steilacoom drove into Sequim territory, but the Sentinels drive was stymied by an interception of quarterback Joey Vela's pass by Alex Gillis at the Sequim 18.

Vela finished 8 of 14 for 101 yards with 2 interceptions.

The Wolves turned the ball back over to the Sentinels when Kris Ortiz intercepted a Drew Rickerson pass at the Sequim 39.

The home team capped a 10-play march to score on Ameer Yarbrough's 1-yard run.

Yarbrough had 13 carries for 29 yards.

Jake McCane's PAT gave Steilacoom a 7-6 advantage with 11:13 left in the first half.
Steilacoom went ahead 10-6 on a 26-yard McCane field goal with 6:09 left in the third quarter.

Sequim outgained Steilacoom 216-198. The Sentinels had a 97-72 advantage in net rushing yards.

Textor had 5 catches for 64 yards for Sequim. Joel Anastasi caught 4 for 32 yards and Jeremie Oliver had 2 grabs for 20 yards, both 4th down conversions.

Steilacoom tight end Kelvin Penn caught 5 passes for 36 yards. Running back Kris Ortiz packed the pigskin 18 times for 80 yards.

Sequim (3-1, 1-0) will be on the road once again Friday in Silverdale for a matchup with the winless Klahowya Eagles, while Steilacoom (0-4, 0-1) hosts Fife.
