15-16 Girls Basketball Game 2 - Bremerton 52, Sequim 46

Bremerton girls beat Sequim 52-46

(Sequim) -- Michaela Derda scored 12 of her 21 points in the final quarter as the Bremerton Lady Knights outlasted the Sequim Wolves 52-46 at Rick Kaps Gym.
The Lady Wolves struggled in the first half against a Bremerton 3-2 zone defense, trailing 17-6 at the quarter and 26-11 at intermission.
Sequim rallied in the third period, outscoring the Knights 20-6 as Jordan Miller hit from the low post and nailed a number of triples.
The Wolves trailed by one at the end of the third quarter 32-31 and tied the game at 32 on a free throw by Ella Christiansen.
Bremerton was able to get back on track and outpointed Sequim 20-14 the rest of the way.
Miller and Adrienne Haggerty had team-high honors for the Lady Wolves with 18 points apiece.
Yacsiri Godinez-Gonzalez, Alycia Heriford and Liz Lamoureux paced Bremerton with 8 markers each.
Sequim (1-1 overall and 0-1 in Olympic League 2A) hosts Neah Bay at 5:15 Wednesday.
