Sequim boys 62, Port Townsend 38

(Sequim) -- A fine all-around effort led the Sequim High Wolves boys to a 62-38 victory over the Port Townsend Redskins Friday night at Rick Kaps Gym.
Rory Kallappa led the way for the Wolves with 18 points, while Anthony Pinza and Alex Barry chipped in 10 apiece.
A crisp paced first period ended with Sequim ahead 13-12 as PT's Cody Russell led all scorers with 8 points and two triples.
The Wolves (1-0) led 31-24 at intermission, despite having a double digit advantage midway through the second period.
Sequim asserted its defense in the second half, holding Townsend to single digits in both the third and fourth quarters.
Vance Willis and Erik Christensen paced Sequim with 8 markers apiece.
Russell topped the Town team's scoring with 14 and Paul Spaltenstein added 10.
Port Townsend (0-1) hosts Kingston Wednesday, while Sequim entertains Olympic.
