12 13 Boys Basketball Game 5 - Sequim 49, North Mason 33

PREP BASKETBALL: Sequim boys 49, North Mason 33

(Belfair) -- Jayson Brocklesby scored 17 of his 22 points in the second half as the Sequim High Wolves downed the North Mason Bulldogs 49-33 Wednesday in Olympic League boys basketball.
Sequim led all the way and improved to 3-2 overall and 3-1 in league action.
Sophomore Alex Barry snapped out of a shooting slump with 3 opening quarter triples as the Wolves led 14-9 at the first break.
Barry finished with 9 points.
North Mason (1-6 overall and 1-4 in Olympic League play) got 13 from Evan Daley, 8 from Riley McKean and 6 from C.J. Allen.
Sequim had a 25-13 advantage at intermission.
The Wolves' defense held North Mason to single digits in the opening three frames, leading 36-19 going to the final period.
Sequim got another strong outing from senior Andrew Shimer, who ripped down his team's first 8 defensive rebounds.
Gabe Carter had 7 for Sequim and senior Erik Christensen added 4.
The Boys from Belfair host Olympic Friday while the Wolves host the Klahowya Eagles at Rick Kaps Gym.
In other boys Olympic League action Wednesday, Klahowya downed Port Townsend 60-45, North Kitsap clipped Port Angeles 86-80, and Olympic nipped Kingston 57-56.
In girls Olympic League play Wednesday, Port Townsend dropped Klahowya 43-24, Port Angeles beat North Kitsap 68-54, Olympic defeated Kingston 33-27 and Sequim trounced North Mason 45-21.
