Klahowya 61, Sequim 46
(Silverdale) -- Clark Rose scored 20 points and Josh Ganowski added 15 as the Klahowya Eagles ripped the Sequim Wolves 61-46 Tuesday night.
The Eagles avenged a 56-31 whipping by Sequim on December 14th at Rick Kaps Gym, when Rose was held scoreless.
The game was nip and tuck early with the Eagles holding a 13-12 edge at the first break.
Sequim's Corbin Webb connected for 7 early points, but suffered an apparent ankle sprain in the second quarter and was forced from the contest.
Gabe Carter was Sequim's team-high scorer with 19 points and Jayson Brocklesby chipped in 12 tallies.
The Eagles took a 4-point lead into halftime at 29-25. Sequim trailed by 8 going into the final quarter 41-33 and got no closer than 6 in the final stanza.
Sequim dropped to 11-4 on the season and 8-3 in Olympic League action, tied for second place with Port Angeles, a 68-65 victor over Bremerton.
Klahowya improved to 6-8 on the campaign, 6-4 in Olympic League games.
Sequim hosts the North Mason Bulldogs Wednesday at Rick Kaps Gym for a makeup game originally scheduled last week.
