Sequim boys stop Port Townsend 59-41

(Port Townsend) -- Jayson Brocklesby scored 22 points and Corbin Webb added 21 as the Sequim High Wolves beat the Port Townsend Redskins 59-41 Tuesday night at Bruce Blevins Gym.
Sequim (10-3 overall and 7-2 in Olympic League play) trailed by one point at both the end of the first period -- 14-13 -- and at intermission --31-30.
Port Townsend (2-11 overall and 1-9 in Olympic League play) kept things interesting in the first half by connecting on five treys -- 3 by Luke Coppenrath and 2 by Kyle Kelly.
The Wolves ramped up their defense in the second half and the Redskins cooled from beyond the arc, as Sequim outscored Port Townsend 29-10 in the final two periods.
Coppenrath had a team-high 9 points for Townsend, while Kelly and Paul Spaltenstein chipped in 8 points apiece.
Sequim will visit Port Angeles Friday night and Port Townsend hosts Chimacum Saturday.
