(Sequim) -- The Sequim boys basketball team finished the 2016-17 season on a high note with a three game winning streak after defeating Coupeville 56-40 Thursday at Rick Kaps Gym.
Nate Despain scored 17 of his game-high 19 points before halftime as Sequim led 17-7 after the first break and 29-14 at intermission.
Devin Greenlow scored 12 points for Sequim in his final prep appearance and fellow senior Konner Parrish added 2.
Sequim went to the final quarter ahead 44-26.
Hunter Smith led the way for Coupeville with 15 and Ethan Spark chipped in 12 tallies.
Sequim had its finest night of the season from the charity stripe, canning 12 of 13 free throws
Coupeville is 3-15 overall, facing Port Townsend Saturday.
Sequim finished the year at 5-15.
