Barry leads Sequim boys over Bremerton 68-53

(Sequim) -- Alex Barry scored 20 points and Vance Willis added 17 as the Sequim Wolves downed the Bremerton Knights 68-53 Tuesday night at Rick Kaps Gym.
Sequim moved to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in Olympic League 2A Division boys play, while Bremerton is 0-4 overall and 0-1 in league.
The Wolves led 12-9 after the opening 8 minutes, connecting on 4 first quarter treys.
After the Knights tied the contest at 12, Sequim went on a 20-10 run, ahead 32-22 at halftime.
Sequim continues to push the advantage in the second half, ahead 53-32 after three quarters.
Barry had 8 points at intermission and tallied 12 more in the third stanza before resting most of the fourth quarter.
Diontae Gilbert led Bremerton with 9 points, Casey Winderl had 8 and Tavontay Carter had 7 for the Knights.
Jackson Oliver paced Sequim with 8 markers and Dustin Bates added 6 for the Wolves.
Sequim hosts Mount Tahoma Thursday for a non-leaguer, while Bremerton entertains Chimacum Monday.

Lady Wolves beat Bremerton 50-39
McKenzie Bentz and Adrienne Haggerty shared team-high honors for the Wolves with 12 points apiece.
Amerika Weatherford led the Lady Knights with 15 markers and Weslynn Blackwell added 11 for Bremerton.
Victoria Cummins and Elise Beuke paced the Wolves with 6 points apiece.
The Lady Wolves travel to Crosspoint Academy for a non-leaguer today.
Newsradio KONP will broadcast the Sequim - Crosspoint girls game beginning at 5:45 with the tipoff at 6 p.m.
