(Sequim) -- Payton Glasser scored 17 points and Nate Despain added 16 as the Sequim Wolves boys basketball team got their first Olympic League win of the season with a 57- 40 victory over the North Mason Bulldogs.
Glasser and Despain both had traditional three point plays early and the Wolves led 15-13 after the first klaxon.
Sequim (1-11 in Olympic League play and 4-15 overall) played stifling defense all night and pulled away to a nine point lead in the second period after Glasser, Despain and Kyler Rollness connected on triples.
Rollness paced the Wolves with 10 markers.
The Wolves led 32-23 at intermission.
Sequim exhibited patience on offense and tenacity on defense in the third quarter as Wolves extended their advantage to 45-29 going to the final period.
Trey Fisher led North Mason with 17.
The Bulldogs (1-10 in league and 6-12 overall) will host Bremerton Thursday.
Sequim hosts Coupeville for boys and girls basketball Thursday in the season finale for both teams.
The girls game will be at 3:30 and the boys at 5:15.
