(Belfair) -- North Mason's hot shooting Bulldogs built a 20-point first-half lead Friday night and steamrolled the Sequim Wolves 63-28 in an Olympic League boys basketball game at Belfair.

North Mason and Sequim are now tied for the league's number 2 seed to district with 9-6 marks.

The teams will have a rematch next Friday night at 6 in the Klahowya Secondary School gym.

The Olympic League tournament game will decide the number 2 and 3 seeds to district.

Kingston (10-5, 13-6) clinched the league's number one 2A seed Friday night with an 81-47 romp over Klahowya.

The Bulldogs came into the Friday contest suffering from four consecutive league losses and played inspired ball in the final home game for seniors Dylan Hannafious, Jace McMinn, John Fullington and Brett Skogstad.

Skogstad singed the twine for 15 in the first half, including three triples in the first 8 minutes, finishing the contest with a game-high 22 points.

Sequim trailed by 20 with 4:27 left in the second quarter, 28-8.

John Textor scored 8 of the Wolves 13 first half points.

Sequim's shooting woes continued after intermission, going without a point until the 1:41 mark of the third quarter, when North Mason had extended its lead to 30 points -- 46-16.

Hannafious scored 6 of his 13 points in the third for the Bulldogs.

Fullington, the 6-6 center bound for WSU on a football scholarship, scored 11 points, hitting a triple from the right corner as North Mason led 49-21 going to the final period.

Sequim's 28 markers Friday were the fewest points scored in a single game by the Wolves since modern-day record keeping began in the 1975-76 season.

The previous record for scoring futility was 29, set in a 95-29 walloping by O'Dea in 1997 and a 57-29 loss to Aberdeen in 1995.

Sequim (9-6 in Olympic League play, 10-9 overall) will host Olympic Tuesday at Rick Kaps Gym in the final home game for seniors, while North Mason (9-6 in Olympic League play, 12-7 overall) visits North Kitsap.
