PREP FOOTBALL: Bremerton 21, Sequim 6

(Bremerton) -- The Bremerton Knights racked up 252 rushing yards Friday night, including 84 during a game clinching fourth quarter drive, rolling to a 21-6 victory over the Sequim High Wolves.
Bremerton (2-1) took a 7-0 lead after Trevor Nelson took a 35-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Mikey Lawrence with 46 seconds remaining in the opening quarter.
Sequim (0-3) closed the gap with 4:04 left before intermission when running back Lopaka Yasamura took a short pass from quarterback Jack Wiker and ran through numerous Bremerton tackle attempts up the right sideline 47 yards into the end zone.
It was the first Sequim touchdown of the season after nine scoreless quarters, including two shutout non-league losses.
A missed PAT left Bremerton ahead 7-6.
Bremerton put together a 9-play, 52-yard march to start the second half, capped by Andrew Shadle's 1-yard plunge, increasing the Knights' lead to 14-6 with 8:32 left in the third quarter.
The Knights finished the scoring with Lawrence's 32 yard scamper up the middle with 8:36 left in the game, making it 21-6.
Lawrence completed 9 of 21 passes for 147 yards and a TD.
Sequim was hampered by 14 penalties for 110 yards, including a touchdown taken off the board on an illegal procedure flag.
The Wolves turned the ball over on downs to the Knights three times in Bremerton territory and had an interception at the Bremerton 5 in the final quarter.
Sequim quarterbacks Jack Wiker and Nick Faunce combined to complete 23 of 39 passes for 241 yards and a TD, but had 3 interceptions.
Bremerton outgained Sequim 339-303.
The Wolves host North Kitsap next Friday night at Sequim High School.
